Resource Direct Recruitment is currently recruiting an Interim Project Procurement Officer for our Client’s Power Station in Llanberis, Wales. This is a 3 month interim position (Inside IR35) and on offer is a competitive rate.
Overview of the Project Procurement Officer:
To ensure the timely provision of goods, works and services to include the placing, renewal and associated negotiation of all procurement commitments in compliance with statutory and company requirements.
To engage with key company stakeholders in developing procurement plans and strategies to maximise effectiveness and value for money. To proactively monitor the marketplace. Ensure effective and proportionate supplier/contract management.
Based at Dinorwig Power Station but must be flexible and able to travel to other company locations and to supplier locations away from base.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS)
- Degree/NVQ or equivalent in a relevant area.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Procurement experience in buying goods and services contracts and call off term contracts >£100k
- Industrial/Utility experience as an end user in the public/private sector.
- Chartered Status and Leadership qualifications are desirable.
