What is a CV (Curriculum Vitae)

A CV is a marketing document which summarises your experience, skills and education and is often the first stage in getting yourself noticed by a potential client.

It is important to spend time and effort in preparing your CV to reflect your skills and experience to prospective employers.  For this reason alone, it should be designed and written to make an immediate impact on the key decision-makers.

  • Include company name and dates of employment, position, main skills used/acquired, responsibilities and achievements
  • Always check your completed CV and then check it again
